Hello Cake Lovers!

I thought I would start my blog with a little taste of what is to come. This blog dedicated to all things cake, so as well as looking at some absolute beauties, and giving reviews on cakes I try myself, the blog will also include all the oddest cakes I can find. And believe me, there are more than you might think!

As an example, here's one I found earlier..:

It's impressive, sure. The detail is so ridiculous I'd almost think someone has just put an icing blanket over a baby to save time. But they haven't, thats actual cake.

Now, I'm hazarding a guess here, but I'd say this cake was probably made to celebrate this little critters entrance into this world. A glorious occasion. As the mother I'd probably be delighted at the prospect of having a cake-replica of my baby. But when I'm handed a little piece of said replica-baby's forehead to eat, I think I'd just have a little cry. No good can come of this, surely?

So yes, lots of odd and adventurous concoctions to bring to your attention. And also, lots of tales of my own baking attempts, so feel free to let me know what you think...!
